Marlon Brando
In the movie Apocalyps Now, Marlon Brando plays Colonel Kurtz. According to him horror has a face.. and that you must make it your friend. Before it turns into your enemy. He is right you know.
The making of that movie turned out to be horror in itself: Marlon Brando turned up totally unprepared and with quite some overweight, the sets were destroyed by the weather, Martin Sheen got a near-fatal heart attack, and director Coppola spent a lifetime editing over a million feet of film. The film title turned out to be spot on!
Freezing Scripts
When Brando showed up at the set of Apocalyps Now he did not memorize one line; he did not know what the film was about, let alone knew his own role. He made it a habit to put all scripts he received from producers into his freezer. Once in a while he took one out and shot it to pieces in the backyard. Probably the script of Apocalyps Now was one of them.
