On September-9 1947 at 3:45 pm a bug flew in the room where the Harvard Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator was operated. Because it was attracted by the light and comfortable heat of that machine. It got stuck in there and was removed by Grace Hopper. Preserved for all time in the machine’s logbook with the beautiful phrase: “the first actual case of a bug being found”
